Every piece is made by hand in Kigali, Rwanda by skilled women artisans who are paid fairly for their time. When you hold a Maison Subira piece, you are holding the work of a specific person.
Our ArtisansEvery piece is made by hand, by a named artisan, using real skill. Not mass-produced. Not machine-made. Each piece takes between 8 and 45 hours to complete.
Our artisans are paid above the local market rate. This is not a marketing claim — it is our policy. We keep records and can share them with buyers who ask.
